Career Goals

My interest in understanding the working of electrical systems by applying mathematics led me to choose electrical and electronics engineering for my undergraduate studies. It helped me to find a perfect balance in understanding things and identifying my domain of interest. I want to be an engineer who identifies the problems and applies his knowledge to his field of interest to create, to innovate, new things for the benefit of mankind. By the year 2025, 92% of energy infrastructure in India will rely on renewable energy systems with wind, solar-thermal and photovoltaics contributing to nearly 74% of the generation. This justifies my goal in addressing the various challenges in the energy domain from an industrial perspective.

I had worked in GMR Energies as an intern trainee in Operation & Maintenance division at the diesel power plant. This experience helped me to gather an insight in operations involved in running the power plant. I was actively involved in monitoring the performance and estimating the costs incurred due to faulty operations of some units, and forecast the maintenance schedule to avoid serious outages.

I can work efficiently under strict deadlines, my undergraduate thesis in industrial automation at ALSTOM T&D (I) Ltd., was challenging and demanded lot of input. It has taught me how to tackle the practical problems, how to utilize the available resources and manage them effectively for the progress of the project. Because of the independence I had in my work, I learned to make my own decisions, to convey my results effectively, and improve my performance by asking for feedback and assistance when it was necessary.

My persuasion to explore and understand all the domains in Energy systems demands for an exciting and intensive industrial experience. I believe the application of knowledge plays a pivotal role in industrial sector
