Why?

 Looking at the mortality rate due to effects of cancer, I couln’t help but choose to do something for the community and also for those fighting to survive all around. It is my own quota to the community and my social corporate responsibility.

Event Brief

 It is a gala night/ fundraising event for the awareness of and contribution/motivation towards the fight against cancer

Date and time

 The national awareness day for breast cancer is every 4th Monday in October so I think the best date is the Saturday (because most people will be free) before that Monday and the time should be 7:00pm.

Theme

Basically a place where people will feel comfortable, relaxed and full of serene ambience.

Venue

 Abuja

The main reason why I chose Abuja is because it is the State Capital and id located at the center of the country. It will be an easier place for people coming from all parts of the country.

Advantages

 It is a popular place located in the heart of Abuja and quite accessible

 It has a large hall with a capacity of hosting well above 1000 people. That means I will have enough space to play around with when it comes to sitting arrangements, set up and decoration.

 It has an aesthetic view

Disadvantages

 The cost of reservation is a little bit high.

 It will consume a lot of décor time because the hall is so big.
