Introduction
McDonald’s is the largest chain of hamburger fast food restaurants, feeding an estimated 68 million customers daily in 119 countries. It is hard to imagine that the beginnings of this massive cooperation was a modest restaurant owned by brothers Richard and Maurice McDonald in San Bernardino, California, United States of America. There biggest contribution to the current restaurant was the introduction of the “Speedee Service System” that helped to develop the principles of the modern fast food restaurants. Ray Kroc was distributor of the Multimixers, in 1954 he met with the McDonald’s and pitch them the idea of expanding their business, creating franchises, as a result Kroc opened up the first McDonald’s restaurant in 1955. The new McDonald’s was located at Des Plaines, Illinois, United States of America. The restaurant was the first with the golden arches that form a big part of the brand that we know today.
McDonald’s main products are hamburgers and various types of chicken sandwiches, soft drinks, desserts, French fries; also under their umbrella of products are: salads, vegetarian and seasonal items.
