Change Proposal

Introduction

In order for a company to be successful management must understand that change management is a key essential proponent when it comes to maintaining a successful organization.  Change management is primarily perceived as a business function being that the driving force is business factors.  Change management is a way for organizations to optimize their effectiveness, and balance in a competitive market (Lebon & Stone, 2008). Change management is a productive method for making sure that change in an organization is a smooth transition that results in success.  

Kudler Fine Foods is an extraordinary organization that is in dire need of change management program.  Recently, Kudler Fine Foods has decided to make adjustments to work patterns with a focus on their sales department.  Change in the sales department will benefit Kudler Fine Foods, as it will result in an increase in revenue for the company.  Four managers manage Kudler Fine Foods and two midlevel managers supervise them.  Most recently there have been problems to arise involving management positions in the sales department.  There must be something done to refine the management positions to restore the balance in respect and authority between the supervisors.

Program for Change Management

By incorporating a change management program within the Kudler Fine Foods organization, it will ensure that change within the organization is managed properly, and will ultimately improve work efficiency.  It is imperative that the change management program is communicated from the lowest level of employees to the senior officials of the organizations.  This will ensure that everyone at all levels know and understand the purpose of the change management program and how change is incorporated within the organization.  

Need for Change

Recently within the organization there has been a lack in leadership in the Kudler Fine Foods sales department.  This lack of leadership has been due to low-level managers not performing their duties and putting things off on other managers who are on other shifts to make up for their shortcomings.  This lack of leadership in management has spilled over to the production of sales as employees are not being managed properly customer satisfaction and revenue has began to suffer. Because of the issues that has arisen Kudler Fine Foods midlevel managers believe that there is a need for changed to be incorporated in the sales department.  There is a need for a change in the sales department that will ultimately improve the level of work and increase sales within the Kudler Fine Foods organization.  Currently the levels of activity in sales are low and there is a need to make a change that will result in higher efficiency in this department.
