- DIVERSITY WHEEL (509 words)

In this first part, I will work on the diversity wheel diagram to define who I am today, what elements have plaid a key role in my life to achieve to myself, why I am unique and different from my mates around me. It is a tough exercise because it implies to analyse in depth the different component which actually lead me to be who I am.
There are 2 dimensions : the primary, that has impacted my early socialisation and development, and the secondary, which is less visible and could vary in relation with different periods and influences of my life.
First of all, the huge part is related to my education. I had the chance to live with both my parents and I consider that I’ve received the core values of education: love, respect, joy and teaching. I grew with my parents and grand-parents in the same house and they encouraged me in my studies and hobbies. Today, I know how to behave in different situations such as work or university. Then, thanks to them, i started to build my life because I always been supported. Furthermore, I am an only child and during my chilhood I’ve never share my life with a brother or a sister. That’s the reason why today I regard myself as a lonely personne and it also explains why I am so closed to my parents.
Secondly, a substantial part of myself is sport (or my physical abilities). Since I was 3, I practice horse-riding and since I was 7, I do with the same coach. This activity has taken a vast part of my life because it is my personal compass: the end of my studies, after this Erasmus year, will be oriented into this dimension because I want to work in equestrian management. Then, I think it has taught me a self-discipline that I use every day (rigor, motivation, persistence). Finally, horse-riding has been a landmark in my life when I went trhough difficult time and helped me to never give up.
