Training Key Areas

Common objectives of any organization are successful operations that support timelines that deliver growth, quality service, expansion, profitability, and employee satisfaction within the guidelines of the law. This paper will discuss the components, topics, and importance of legal requirements, diversity and employee personal growth training in an organization.  Business success is no longer measured by profit margin alone.  Big businesses today account for success on various levels including community success, personal growth in both management and employees, and organizational achievements.  Businesses that focus development and training on diversity, employee growth within the confines of legal requirements eliminate needless lawsuits and ensure that the organization is viewed as an employer of choice.

Diversity Training

Developing exceptional diversity training gives an organization the ability to reach beyond culture, gender, race, age, gender, and other diverse characteristics in workplace ethics.  Effective diversity training provides employers and managers with tools to attract new quality employees and maintain a healthy diverse work place.  Diversity training gives employees and management tools and insight to embrace and appreciate workers who are different.  Developing diversity skills through comprehensive training programs increases an organization’s ability to grow and reduces complaints and lawsuits with organizations such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (Civil Rights Act of 1964, n.d.).  for Civil Rights violations.  Title VII of the Civil Rights Act prohibits discrimination based on gender, race and national origin, physical abilities, religion, sex, and age (Civil Rights Act of 1964, n.d.)

Effective diversity training will teach employers and employees the benefits of bringing different life experiences, ideas, and perspectives to the table.  If an organization learns to embrace their diverse workgroup, there are bound to be less conflicts and misunderstandings and a healthier, happier workplace will emerge.  On-going work needs to measure and ensure the heath of a diverse workplace.  A diverse workplace should have an equal and fair compensation schedule as well as sensitivity and fair treatment across groups for religious holidays. Recognition and recognition for innovation should be available to all employees.

Employee Growth

Complimenting a successful diversity training program is a program targeted at promoting employee growth.  Employee grow occurs through continued education classes, career development, and counseling services.  Organizations that provide thoughtful and comprehensive employee development programs that include classes and coaching result in employees with their management find paths to promotions.  Developing an employee growth program gives management an opportunity to fine tune training that help them develop employees that will support current and future organizational goals.  Employee growth programs lead to the advancement of employees.  For example, hourly employees can aspire to and achieve the goal of becoming a salaried employee and earn greater benefits.
